Relieve stress

The effect of stress creates a hormone in the body called Cortisol. Increased levels of Cortisol are very damaging to the brain and body. High Cortisol levels are linked to numerous health problems such as depression, reduced bone density, thyroid problems, reduced cognitive performance, reduced muscle tissue, lower immunity, blood-sugar imbalance, inflammation, increased abdominal fat, and cholesterol imbalance. The "cure" for stress and reduced Cortisol is meditation. However, the benefits of meditation come with regular practice and can take years to perfect.

How it works

The brain has 8 main frequency states:

  • Gamma, 35 - 45 Hz - the peak of vitality
  • Beta2, 22 - 35 Hz - very active outside attention, stress
  • Beta1, 15-22 Hz - active outer attention
  • Slow Beta waves, 12-15 Hz - relaxation, passive attention
  • Upper Alpha, 9-12 Hz - relaxation, inner focus, meditation, healthy mental state
  • T-Alpha, 7-9 Hz - deep meditation, deep learning, insight, Schumann Resonance, hypnosis, anxiety.
  • Theta, 3-7 Hz - flow of ideas, creativity, bridge to subconscious
  • Delta, 1-3 Hz - very deep sleep

  • Beta waves vibrate in the range from about 12 to 35 Hz. Beta represents the active attention state.

Alpha waves vibrate in the range from about 7 to 12 Hz. Alpha waves occur during the rest of sensory, mental relaxation, deep relaxation, meditation or pacified mind. When alpha waves increase we feel heat to the extremities and experience improved immune function, a sense of peace and well-being, increased productivity in the workplace, improved academic performance, reduced anxiety and better sleep. It is believed that most creative geniuses stayed and worked in an almost constant state of Alpha. At times, Alpha waves increase our ability to take in huge amounts of information, and develop abstract thinking and creativity.

Theta waves are associated with the state of sleep, also called the "twilight" state, involving hypnotic trance, the phase of sleep and the dream. In this state, we experience increased memory, increased access to the subconscious, increased creativity and unexpected insights

Delta waves are the slowest wave of brain activity with a frequency oscillating from 1 to 3 Hz. Delta waves dominate when we fall asleep and continue to prevail in a state of deep sleep.

The machine can produce the base frequencies and, by resonance, helps to achieve those states.

But that is just the very basic functionality of the device. It can do so much more!

The basic states represent only very simple waves, like listening to "music" with only one sound in the same rhythm or writing a book with one letter. However, it is undoubtedly very useful, as a monotone frequency facilitates the transition to another state. When you are sleepy but you want to focus instead, or when you are stressed and want to relax.

In addition to the basics, this device has a much more complex functionality. The brainwaves are complex, and each part of the brain produces different waves.

This device is able to transmit electro-magnetic waves to five different points of the brain. Not only simple frequencies, but complex "music" as well. This is actually a copy of your thoughts. The device is not only able to transmit, but it can also measure and record your brainwaves!

So you can use the machine to help transition to a different state, but you can also use it as a brainwave sensor to record your thoughts or replay them for yourself or for your friends / partner / children. Their brain will understand your thoughts even if not precisely, of course. But the main message will be delivered and it helps communicating things that you can not describe in words. "Listening" to others' thoughts is also a good game! Imagine recording your brainwaves when you have good moments and replaying them when you are sad. It would immediately change your mood, faster than any pill.

This is how the device looks like when we remove the plastic cover at the back. It has 5 small electromagnets inside to capture brain activity or produce electromagnetic waves. The device has no moving parts and no cables.

    The device and packaging

    Transfer your thoughts

Nowadays, we can see various EEG devices, we can see devices controlled by thoughts and we know different techniques to change your mood (colours, music, meditation, etc). It was always a dream to record and transfer your thoughts to another person. This device gives you all these in one!

    The device as EEG
The device can record brainwaves at five different locations of the brain. You can transfer and view the recorded waves on your smartphone.

The device to control another device
The recorded waves are stored as normal files with WAV extension and can be sent to another app or device to process them. Therefore, it is possible to control another device using your thoughts.

The device to record and replay your brainwaves
The recorded files can be transferred back to the device and played back. In this mode the device does not measure the brainwaves. Rather, it generates electromagnetic waves at five different locations. It can be played back for yourself or anyone else, even hundreds or thousands of miles away.

    Brain entrainment
Like a piano that needs re-tuning in order to play the notes at the right pitch, the process works by stimulating the brain to work better and become more in tune with its optimal mode of functioning.

    History of the technology

1875, Richard Caton presented his findings on electrical phenomena of the exposed cerebral hemispheres of rabbits and monkeys in the British Medical Journal

1912, Russian physiologist Vladimir Vladimirovich Pravdich-Neminsky published the first animal EEG.

1936, Gibbs and Jasper reported the interictal spike as the focal signature of epilepsy.
A few years later, the EEG has been accepted by the international scientific community, and it had become a key diagnostic and research tool. EEG is commonly used to easily detect schizophrenic and epileptic brain abnormalities.

1960’s, Experiments began to uncouple the relationship between the activity of populations of neurons – the primary information-processing cells of the brain – and brain rhythms. In particular, the frequency and amplitude of the EEG seemed to correlate with the rate of activity of individual neurons, and both slowed down during sleep (Evarts 1962; Evarts 1964; Green et al. 1960).

1970’s, Brainwave entrainment techniques started to develop using digitally encoded audio beats, strobe lights, or low-energy electromagnetic fields. Brainwave entrainment is a method to stimulate the brain into entering a specific state by using a pulsing sound, light, or electromagnetic field. The pulses elicit the brain’s "frequency following" response, encouraging the brainwaves to align with the frequency of a given beat. Devices went to the market to increase IQ, weight loss, facilitate "mind-tripping", enhance creativity and concentration, inducing spiritual states and more.

1980’s, Numerous brainwave entrainment experiments and publications. Brainwave to music experiments.

1989, Peniston and Kulkosky reported stunning research results in which stage 4 alcoholism (with a long-term history of treatment failure) was fully re-mediated in some Vietnam veterans by a treatment program which included alpha training as a primary component. The results were so incredible that initially, they were given essentially no credence by the scientific community.

1990's, A Metro-Dade Police Department study concluded that entrainment can reduce both muscle tension and heart rate. Psychological tests also showed the police were better equipped to handle stressful situations following entrainment.
In 1992, a report from the University of Alberta found that correct entrainment produced a marked decrease in pain. In 1993, a blind study group of learning disabled boys between the ages of 8 and 12 found that after forty sessions, the children showed an average IQ increase of 8 points. Another report in 1994 used entrainment to successfully treat children with ADD. In the mid-90s, scientists used it to treat PMS successfully (symptom reduction of 50%+) in over three-quarters of those using entrainment.
Further studies throughout this period have found that brainwave entrainment has brought favorable results for those with chronic fatigue, SAD, hypertension, headaches & migraines, ADD symptoms, and chronic pain.

From 2004, Several companies started to release low cost wearable products (sensor only), toys and interactive games based on the brainwaves.

2012, Brainwave Science offers its patented Brain Fingerprinting Technology with applications in National Security, Counterterrorism, Border Security, Human and Drug Trafficking and Immigration Control to law enforcement agencies worldwide. 2015, Researchers Build Brain-Machine Interface to Control Prosthetic Hand

Non-invasive technique allows amputee to use bionic hand, powered by his thoughts
A research team from the University of Houston created an algorithm that allowed a man to grasp a bottle and other objects with a prosthetic hand, powered only by his thoughts.

    2017, minddo®

A 5 channel EEG sensor, iOS and Android software to save, view, analyse, transfer the data, plus a 5 channel electromagnetic wave generator (brain entrainment) in one.

    Why pick minddo?

    Because it is

  • Built safe, extremely non-invasive
  • Unique
  • Your modern wearable, state of the art design

  • The technology has been FDA approved since 2011 !
  • The device has no moving parts and cables which could break easily. It uses an optional Bluetooth and smart-phone software for more complex functions. For basic functions, like the 8 basic frequencies and recording, no Bluetooth is needed. Bluetooth is only used for to transmit the waves to the phone and from the phone to the device. Aside from that, it is recommended that Bluetooth be turned off as it can interfere with the brainwaves.

    The story

It started in 2004, when Zoltan participated in a training (Agykontroll and Agykontroll ULTRA, Laszlo Domjan, Budapest) about the effects of the electro-magnetic fields on living organs. At the time, he was an electrical engineer and had learned about the brain and artificial intelligence. He immediately came up with the idea of connecting these three fields of science, by way of an electronic device which measures and transmits the brain's electromagnetic waves and emits electro-magnetic waves in order to help to achieve goals.

In 2008 he travelled to Asia to create the first prototype and find the manufacturer.

Then, with the start of the smart-phone, the technology and possibilities changed so rapidly that every year he created a new, improved version. In 2012, he immigrated to Australia with his family and started to work on a device which can not only measure, but also record and transmit the waves using smart-phones.

In 2016, the prototype of a brainwave-measuring, -recording and -transmitting device was ready. Then, in 2017, he started a fund-raising project to produce the device efficiently in high quantities efficiently.

    Is it scientifically proven?

Yes, PEMS (pulsed electromagnetic stimulation, or PEMF - pulsed electromagnetic field) has been scientifically proven since the early 1900's. Many benefits of Pulsed Electro-Magnetic Field (―PEMF) therapy have been demonstrated through more than 2,000 university level double-blind medical studies done in many countries with many different PEMF therapy devices. Some of the positive effects of PEMF therapy were well established by the mid 1900’s. The first commercially produced PEMF therapy devices entered the market in the early 1900s. These were used for studies and experimentation in healing and cellular wellness. They were sold both to consumers and as medical devices to doctors. The first commercially produced high power PEMF therapy devices entered the market around 1975. They focused on cellular regeneration, pain reduction and the health of muscles, nerves, tendons, ligaments and cartilage.
